From the flier:

Would it surprise you to discover that the United States is NOT a democracy?

Would you like to know–once and for all–what the “electoral college” is, and why we have it?

If you don’t need a government permit to exercise your First Amendment rights, why do other people need a government permit to exercise their Second Amendment rights?

Would you sign the Declaration of Independence today if it meant that Homeland Security would arrest you for being an “enemy combatant”?

Michael Badnarik is an author, Constitutional scholar, and was the 2004 Libertarian nominee for President of the United States. He is currently traveling across the country presenting his highly acclaimed class on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Even if you think you know the Constitution well, you’ll be shocked at how much you were never taught. Come experience the passion and drama that shaped the birth of our country.

At the end of the day you will understand why it is important to continue “Lighting the fires of Liberty, one heart at a time!”

Great news!

Michael Badnarik will be coming to the Twin Cities to give his 8-hour constitution class! If you think spending 8 hours discussing the constitution sounds boring, you’ve never heard Michael Badnarik talk about it–he has the passion of an enlightenment-era patriot under the thumb of a vicious tyrant.

I will be going for sure and would love to have as much company as possible! The more the merrier!

DATE: Saturday May 30th 2009
TIME: 9am to 6pm 1 Hour Lunch
COST: $100.00 (includes an autographed copy of his book, Its Good To Be King)

(This cost is based on a minimum of 30 people attending. If we get LESS than 30 people, the cost of his flight and hotel will be divided accordingly.)

Everyone is welcome to join Michael afterwards for dinner if they choose.

If you are interested in coming, please email Anisha Dunne at freethought2012 [at] yahoo.com by Wednesday, May 13th.

Registration and location details will follow by email after May 13th.

For those unfamiliar with Michael, he was a 2004 Libertarian Presidential Candidate, and also ran later in 2005 for U.S. House of Representatives in the 10th CD of Texas.
